WELLINGTON -February 25, 2016 – Palm Beach Forge, the last team to qualify, earned first place in the crowd-pleasing Floridian Community Bank “Buck Off” Championship that benefitted Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center.
Their victory on Friday night (Feb. 19) at International Polo Club concluded the largest tournament in the seven-year history of the mechanical bull-riding competition.
Palm Beach Forge, the last of a record 19 teams to participate in the third and final qualifying round on Feb. 11 at White Horse Fashion Cuisine, finished with 392 points. The final was like a World Cup competition, as one rider for each of the four teams made up one round.
Palm Beach Forge’s Hannah Dressier Jaques, who went third, earned a 94 and her teammates increased their lead in every round. Andrey Ferrier notched a 99 in the second round, Dana Glass matched that 99 in the third round and anchor Donnie Mills clinched the victory in style with a perfect 100.
The costumed Floridian Community Bank Night Riders, dressed in superhero outfits and with a colorful cheering squad, placed second with 359. Zoetis After Dark and 2015 champion Orion were third and fourth, respectively.
Celebrity judges for the final were Visse Wedell, Mike Smith, Chip Perkins, and PJ Rizvi.
The Floridian Community Bank “Buck Off” kick started the 29th Annual Vinceremos Dinner and Benefit Auction, whose theme “Magic Happens When We Pull Together”, highlighted the importance and generosity of the community in the center’s success.
Vinceremos is a world-class non-profit therapeutic riding center which has helped hundreds of riders with varying physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. The Vinceremos facility is located in Loxahatchee, directly behind Palms West Hospital.

Real estate agent Visse Wedell of Douglas Elliman Wellington is dedicated to achieve the best for her customers. She specializes in equestrian properties and is extremely knowledgeable about the area’s nuances.
Discount Dirtworks is an arena building specialist featuring true all-weather footing that is owned and operated by Drew Discount. Dressage rider Catherine Malone of CDM Dressage became involved with Vinceremos about six years ago, working as a volunteer and as a member of the Young Professionals Committee.
