The Buck Off is Back with a Twist!

Benefab Ceramic Products and Floridian Community Bank Sponsor the 2014 Vinceremos Buck Off and Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament Events

WELLINGTON, FLORIDA – December- 2013. The Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center will hold its 27th annual dinner and auction on February 7th, 2014 at the International Polo Club in Wellington, Florida to raise funds for continued provision of services that have positively impacted lives for 30 years. During the three weeks leading up to the dinner and auction, Vinceremos will host the popular annual “Buck Off” competitions. This year, playing on the Wild West theme for the annual dinner auction, VTRC will host Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournaments in conjunction with the three preliminary Buck Off rounds.

The Vinceremos “Buck Off” is a mechanical bull-riding contest that’s become an exciting part of their annual fundraiser. Originally held as one event, taking place during the VTRC Annual Dinner and Auction, the Buck Off has grown in popularity and is now held in three preliminary rounds leading up to the finals taking place at the VTRC Annual Dinner and Auction on February 7th. Four-person teams compete in the Buck Off preliminary rounds, where individual scores are totaled to determine the winning team of each round. Each rider is scored on the basis of regular bull riding rules, good style and must keep one hand in the air at all times. A panel of four judges, giving a maximum of 25 points each, scores each rider as they strive for the best out of 100 possible points. The winning team of each preliminary round will advance to the finals to compete against last year’s Buck Off champion team, Sticky Buns. Teams can compete in all three preliminary rounds. The entry fee is $100 per team per round.

This year a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament will be held in conjunction with the three preliminary Buck Off rounds. Each event will have three poker tables with ten seats, the cost to buy in is $50.00 per person. The top three players of each night will advance to the finals, which will be held in conjunction with the Buck Off finals on February 7th. The Texas Hold ’Em finals will host ten seats, nine players will be the winners of the preliminary rounds and the tenth seat will be raffled off the night of the event.

The Buck Off and Texas Hold’em preliminary rounds will begin on Thursday, January 16th, 2014 and continuing on January 23rd and 30th, they will take place at the White Horse Fashion Cuisine restaurant located at 3401 Equestrian Club Dr., Wellington, FL 33414.

Vinceremos thanks Buck Off and Texas Hold ‘Em title sponsors Benefab Ceramic Products, who offers beneficial ceramic products for horses and riders, and Floridian Community Bank, a true community bank that has supported Vinceremos’ efforts to make a positive impact on its community of riders for the past five years.

In addition to the Buck Off and Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments, the 27th Annual Vinceremos Dinner and Auction includes live and silent auctions, with a separate silent auction lounge boasting over 200 items up for bid. The theme of this year’s fundraiser is “Pioneering New Frontiers”, with Wild West décor. Vinceremos 27th Annual Dinner and Auction will be held at the International Polo Club on 3667 120th Avenue South, Wellington, Florida 33414.
